This is Chrissy. She is a Blue & Gold Macaw. We were going to keep her in our flock, but there are so many more that really need to be re-trained that we need to free up room for them. Her adoption fee is set high because a very large cage comes with her and she is a very high maintenance bird.

This is Gabe. He is is a Mollucan Cockatoo. Before even asking about him go to mytoos.com Turn up the volume and listen for at least a half hour. If you can stand that, you might be a candidate for adoption. While there, do your home-work and then make up your mind on whether you want to ask about Gabe.

This is Ernie. He is a Double Yellow Headed Amazon. he has been with us quite some time because he does not like women. I have decided to go ahead and put him up for adoption. He is a nice guy but being an Amazon he is pretty much his own bird. He will warm up to you but it takes a long time for him to decide that he likes you. He likes to have his head scratched through the bars of his cage but will not allow it outside the cage. Ernie is 27 years old so he is pretty set in his ways but I think he can learn more if worked with on a one on one basis.

Before asking about any of these birds do your homework. No two birds are alike but you can find out the general temperament of each species and then work with the individual.
